Yearbook Groupie – Yearbook resources and guides

Summer Break includes a yearbook break too!

When summer break arrives, the focus and flow of your days and weeks change—taking a break from the day-to-day school schedule, a break from all the planning for each day and lesson, and a break from school activities and sports schedules.

Of course, summer break may mean new schedules, new activities, vacations, etc, but it feels different.

For me, my head clears a bit, and I feel the space in my head that allows me to open up to creative thoughts and feelings, even thoughts of a new yearbook theme or idea. Sometimes, ideas come when there’s a little less stress of a school year competing with your creative thinking.

Maybe you like to organize your shelves, look at your past yearbooks, and reflect on what you have accomplished and what you loved about the books you’ve made. Browsing those old books makes me smile and fills me with a sense of accomplishment and sometimes amazement.

Take some time to refresh and open some room in your head for some creative ideas for the next yearbook.

Have a great summer, and please check out our forums, especially the one where you introduce yourself!
